A bit ago I told everyone we weren't seeing teddy bears as usual, being a portion of means for the helps work. That probably sounds so funny. But when you think of it in terms of tools rather than teddies, it becomes more in perspective. If you are a mechanic you need a tool for the work. Etc...but, the teddies were not there, and funds for them either at the time. God is our provision, and teddies are not, lol. So I was truly wondering if there was another direction. And that could always be, as God has used many things for what He is blessing for help for others. Teddies of themselves, have no value.
When the door opened a bit for some money and we decided to buy some teddy bears for the work, a lady said to me on that day, right before I ordered them, that someone had been by and they had a bunch of teddy bears.
I ask if I could look into that. She said she would, she owns a shop and has dealt with them as dealers before.
When I went to take my check for them, the lady at the counter wouldn't take it and said that they were a donation. That was the instructions that had been given her by the lady we know. I tried to pay for these and they would have none of it.
This dear woman did not hear about the dryness of need we had. I had not told her that we were in any real need for them for a long time and that it seemed like a desert for the supply, lol.
I don't discuss much with her at all, nor see her much at all ever.
She is a person we see a very little and has no idea of the particularly large need we had for teddies or that I had been going through a "teddy" scarcity.
Only my saying I was looking for them and at that time during a casual conversation, and knowing that I use them.
And she knows that we feed people in the work we do.
She just had had contact made by someone telling her that they had a whole lot of teddy bears and did she want to buy them?
I went to her shop to joyfully pay for them, and truthfully was floored that she would not allow it to be taken.
She donated me about 78 small/med teddies in very perfectly good conditon. My living room has had so many teddies in it. You would be amazed at how much room 78 teddies takes up drying from a wash. Excellent teddies.
The same man offered more teddies if those were purchased and she offered them to me to buy for the next batch and wanted me to get them, and encouraged me to get this batch, too. So I got those also, paying for them the amount that I was going to order teddy bears with.
Another sixty or so, teddy bears. So when I look at my house and have sixty something collectable teddy bears and seventy eight about other teddys all over the place, I know that God knows the timing of things and the needs.
Instead of the forty teddy bears I was ordering for shows and such, I now have well over a hundred. I have never had that many bears to work with.
And the first batch had little knit sweaters someone had done up most of them, really sweet little sweaters, so there are mulitude of little sweaters that I took off and washed and dried and packaged to sell. At a dollar a piece those, Lord willing, will help so much.
They also instantly make a little teddy bear jump up in price that I might not even use other wise. So that was a little plus. The other was that the other teddy bears were all collectable teddy bears in perfect condition with most having their tags on. I thank the Lord, I can use them without using all for dressing, but plenty still to dress, like seventy to eighty bears. But many are ready to just put out now.
Truly my need is to know His lovingkindness. The trials are to look and hold on to Him.
And in that sweetness to look to Him to remember in my trials that it is to learn to look to Him in the need which is Him, and when I can, by Him, to give to others what He has abundantly supplied to me in His own life.
He alone, is the Worthy One.
And gives us everything we need to live our lives.
I thank the Lord so.
I am deeply encouraged in His love today.
I thank the Lord.
I thank Him for all the teddys, too. We have enough for the space at Kristin's, enough for the fair, quite a few for the order I have pending, enough for the shop and all that need.
I thank the Lord so.
We looked in the till this morning and there was eighty dollars, the need for Anastasia's rent. That house is where the little ones are that folks passed away.
Neither of us realized that was there, we thought there was 1/2 that. I thank the Lord.
Wanted to share. Much Love to all. God bless your week. Dearest thoughts your way to all.
